1816: US Congress authorizes a state government for Indiana and donates federal land to establish a permanent seat of government for the new state.
1818: Under the terms of the Treaty of St. Mary’s, the Delaware Nation cede their lands in Indiana to the U.S. government and agree to leave central Indiana by 1821.
1818: A Malkavian financier and seer, Larson Fletcher, moves to Indiana and establishes the Fletcher Bank and Trust.
1820: On January 11 the Indiana General Assembly authorizes a selection committee to choose a permanent site for the new state capital. On June 7 the commissioners select four sections of land along the west fork of the White River, on its eastern bank, two miles northwest of Indiana’s geographic center.
1820: Fletcher Bank and Trust funds the building of Indianapolis.
1821: On January 6 the Indiana General Assembly ratifies the site selection on the White River in central Indiana as the permanent state capital of Indiana and names it Indianapolis, the state’s new seat of government. Marion County, Indiana, is established on December 31, with Indianapolis named as the county’s seat of government.
1821: Larson Fletcher declares himself the Prince of the newly formed city of Indianapolis and the central part of the Indiana territory/state. Larson also rejected bids to join the Camarilla, feeling their politics were too fickle for his tastes.
1822: Indianapolis Gazette, the city’s first newspaper, begins publication. A militia is organized in central Indiana. The town’s first jail is built.
1824: Marion County courthouse is completed; it also houses the Indiana General Assembly until a new Indiana Statehouse is completed in 1835.
1831: The steamboat Robert Hanna arrives in town on April 11. After it departs from Indianapolis, the boat runs aground along the White River; no steamboat successfully returns to the capital city. Some believe this is due to attacks from Lupines or Gangrel.
1832: The town is incorporated, and local government is placed under the direction of five elected trustees.
1837: The National Road arrives in Indianapolis.
1839: Fletcher Bank and Trust is rebranded as American Fletcher National Bank after absorbing some other smaller banks in the region.
1845: Lynching of John Tucker occurs near the intersection of Illinois and Washington streets.
1847: Samuel Henderson is elected the city’s first mayor on April 24. Indianapolis voters approve a charter to make Indianapolis an incorporated city effective March 30. City voters approve taxes to establish free public schools.
1848: Central State Hospital opened as the Indiana Hospital for the Insane, changing its name to Central State Hospital for the Insane in 1889, then just known as Central State Hospital after 1926. It started out as 1 large brick building on a 100-acre parcel of land on Washington Street, west of Downtown.
1850: Construction on the Grand Lodge of the Free Masons, the city’s first public hall, is completed.
1861-1865: American Civil War. Indiana was part of the Union during the war.
1871: An Uninvited guest arrived in Larson’s city. A Brujah Anarch known as Aralus Caldwell made his home in Indianapolis. He attracted other Anarchs to the city.
1877: A fire spread through part of the city, set by Lupines looking to destroy Kindred Havens. They were under the mistaken impression that the building they were burning were kindred havens.
1880: A Gangrel known as Christian arrived in Indy, and was admitted by Larson to live there, becoming the first Kindred to swear fealty to him, officially making him a Prince of the city in the eyes of the sects.
1881: War with the Lupines ensued. Larson and Christian waged war with the invading lupines and the Anarchs in an effort to drive both factions from their city.
1886-1888: More Kindred relocate to Indianapolis. Austin Wilder of Clan Toreador, Feralastus Dire of Clan Nosferatu, Dominique LaCroix of Clan Tremere, and Donovan Chrysalis also of Clan Toreador all come to the city during this time.
1888: Benjamin Harrison, and Indianapolis native, becomes President of the United States, putting Indianapolis on the map.
1892: The Primogenship of Indianapolis is formed, lead by Austin Wilder and Larson Fletcher.
1892: Prince Larson Fletcher is convinced to have the city join the Camarilla.
1893: Larson Fletcher summoned his childe, Nicholis, to the city to serve as Primogen in his stead. Dominique LaCroix is made Primogen as well. The city now has 3 Primogen, Toreador, Tremere, and Malkavian.
1893: First Conclave. During 1893, Prince Fletcher decreed that annually, on the stroke of Midnight, New Year’s Eve, the city would hold a conclave. The first one was held on December 31, 1893, at the English Opera House and consisted of the 3 Primogen and the Prince.
1905: The Great Kindred Fire – A devastating fire engulfs a significant portion of the Kindred district in downtown Indianapolis, leading to the destruction of several havens and the loss of numerous unprepared Kindred.
1905: A powerful Ventrue, Jan LeFontier, came to Indianapolis from Chicago, claiming Primogenship for clan Ventrue.
1907: The establishment of the Indianapolis Historical Society, dedicated to preserving the rich history and cultural heritage of the city’s population.
1909: The construction of the Elysium Tower, a luxurious haven and gathering place for the city’s Kindred elite, boasting opulent ballrooms and lavish accommodations is funded by the Keeper of Elysium, Fredrick Opal.

1913: The twentieth Conclave takes place. During this conclave, LeFontier is removed from his Primogenship.

1915: The Indianapolis Benevolence Society is founded, providing support and assistance to less fortunate members of the community, including refugees and newly immigrated.
1917: The Indianapolis Charity Ball raises funds for war relief efforts, uniting the city’s vampire clans in a display of solidarity and philanthropy amidst the turmoil of World War I.
1917-1918: World War I – Several Kindred from Indianapolis participate in the war effort, leveraging their influence to support various factions. The war brings significant changes to the political landscape of the Kindred society in the city.
1920: Prohibition Era Begins – The enactment of Prohibition laws leads to the rise of underground speakeasies and illicit activities among both mortals and Kindred in Indianapolis. The period sees increased tensions and power struggles within the city’s supernatural community.
1929: Wall Street Crash – The economic downturn resulting from the stock market crash impacts both mortals and Kindred in Indianapolis, leading to financial instability and increased desperation among the city’s inhabitants.
1933: DC Stephenson is found dead in prison. In reality, he was removed and replaced by a decoy. The real DC Stephenson was embraced by LeFontier. DC Stephenson was the head of the KKK. Shortly after, DC Stephenson embraced his Inner Circle of the KKK, including Carter McHays.
1933: The Ventrue clan in Indianapolis retreated from public life in the midst of the Great Depression. Also this year, Christian left Indianapolis for personal matters and would be gone for an extended period of time.
1933: At the New Year’s Eve Conclave, which was their 40th Conclave, LeFontier, DC Stephenson, Stephenson’s Brood, and about a dozen police officers stormed the English Opera House. LeFontier charged Prince Fletcher and all those gathered of covert subversive activity against the government. In the uproar, the kindred immediately resisted. In the ensuing riot, the police opened fire. Prince Fletcher was struck with a Molotov Cocktail, the rest of the Primogen were staked or cornered with fire, with the exception of Donovan Chrysalis; he slipped out through a prepared exit during the ruckus. At one point LeFontier approached Wilder and LaCroix with a stake in hand, turning his back to Stephenson, who staked him, his own sire, then killed him. He then turned to the cornered Primogen and offered “Make me Prince, and you’ll live.” With that, Stephenson was declared Prince of Indianapolis.
1934-1968: The reign of DC Stephenson. Prince Stephenson showed his racist views on the kindred, making policies based on what clan someone was and showed less and less regard for Humans, seeing them as nothing more than Cattle and non-whites as even less than that. During this time, he held no Conclaves and ruled with an iron fist, like some sort of fascist dictator. This all came to a head in late 1968 after a series of riots.
1941-1945: World War II – Indianapolis Kindred play clandestine roles in the war effort, manipulating events behind the scenes to ensure outcomes favorable to their interests. The conflict further complicates the delicate balance of power in the city.
1950s: Cold War Paranoia – Heightened fears of communist infiltration and nuclear warfare grip mortal society, leading to increased surveillance and suspicion within the Kindred community. Loyalties are tested, and alliances shift as paranoia spreads.
1960s: Civil Rights Movement – Indianapolis becomes a battleground for civil rights, both among mortals and Kindred. Racial tensions escalate, mirroring the struggles of the broader society, and leading to internal conflicts within the city’s supernatural factions.
1968: December 31st, 1968 saw the first conclave in 30 years. The Primogen called an emergency conclave at the Indiana State Museum of Art, an Elysium location, and there they removed DC Stephenson from praxis, where the Regency of Indianapolis fell to the Primogen Council.
1969-1979: The Regency of Indianapolis. Indianapolis was ruled by a Primogen Council. They continued the old tradition of their yearly Conclaves. However, it would all come to an end on New Year’s Day of 1979…
1970s: Rise of Technological Influence – Advancements in technology begin to impact Kindred society in Indianapolis, with surveillance technology and computer systems posing new challenges to maintaining the Masquerade.
1970: Unigov consolidation of City and County government and services.

Based on the events below, craft a story that would make the events more enticing as a narrative.
1979: The Sabbat attacked Indianapolis, capturing it for themselves. Some members of the city sided with the Sabbat in order to ensure their unlives, others either escaped or perished.
1980s: Cultural Renaissance – A resurgence of cultural and artistic expression sweeps through Indianapolis, influencing both mortal and Kindred society. New ideas and movements emerge, reshaping the social dynamics of the city’s supernatural community.
1979-1985: Sabbat infestation. The Sabbat ruled over Indianapolis for almost 6 years, starting New Year’s Day of 1979 and ending in mid-1985 with the Camarilla retaking the city. The Sabbat appointed Bishop Archibald de la Roux of Clan Ventrue to oversee the city. He was quickly promoted to Archbishop after establishing several Packs and other Bishops in the city.
1981: Archbishop Archibald was killed by a Brujah Antitribu, Blue. Blue was able to lure Archibald to a Wild Hunt, where he was the unknowing target. The participants didn’t know he was the target either, until it was too late. Blue was named Archbishop afterwards.
1984: Blue is killed by her own Templars, at a meeting that she herself called. Rule of the city falls to the 2 Bishops in town…Dominatrix, a Tremere Antitribu, and A’laard, an Assamite Antitribu.
1985: Infighting between Dominatrix and A’laard led to destabilization of the Sabbat in Indy. This made things ripe for the Camarilla to move in and take over, which they did, led by a returning Larson Fletcher. Once thought dead, he has now returned and led the forces to take back the city.
1991: Collapse of the Soviet Union – The fall of the Soviet Union has far-reaching implications for Kindred politics in Indianapolis, as formerly hidden connections and alliances come to light, reshaping the power dynamics within the city.
1992: Several Independents, Anarchs, and Lupines make Indianapolis their home. The Lupines settled in the Eagle Creek area on the city’s northwest side.
1995: The Kindred and Lupines sign a non-aggression pact. The Lupines agree not to interfere in Kindred affairs in Indy, and the Kindred agree not to enter the Eagle Creek area.
1999: The Week of Nightmares happens(see Week of Nightmares)
2001: September 11 Attacks – The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon send shockwaves through mortal society, leading to increased security measures and heightened tensions within the Kindred community as suspicions of involvement and fallout from mortal responses reverberate.
2003: The non-aggression pact is broken, the Kindred and Lupine go to war. The Kindred win the war, driving the Lupine out of Central Indiana. The Lupines were the ones to break the pact by attacking a Kindred Haven outside of their defined Eagle Creek area. The Lupines deny this and claim the haven was in their area.
2004: Thoughts of Gehenna happen, many weird things affect the kindred and Lupine alike. (See Gehenna)
2006: A new wave of Kindred enters the city, but are repelled. They are unlike any that has ever been seen before.
2008: Financial Crisis – The global financial crisis impacts Indianapolis, causing economic turmoil and uncertainty within both mortal and supernatural circles. The instability leads to power struggles and realignment of allegiances among the city’s Kindred.
2010: The Prince, and a number of her Hierarchy travel to Chicago to launch an assault on the Sabbat after it was found out that they visited Indy disguised as Justicars, where they are killed by the Sabbat. Rule falls to the few remaining Primogen.
2011: Rise of Social Media – The widespread adoption of social media platforms introduces new challenges and opportunities for Kindred in Indianapolis to navigate the digital landscape while maintaining the Masquerade and managing their relationships with mortal society.
2013: A new Prince has claimed Praxis of Indianapolis.
2016: Indianapolis Blood Scourge – A mysterious illness spreads among the Kindred population of Indianapolis, causing debilitating symptoms and raising fears of a targeted attack or supernatural contagion. The outbreak sparks panic and chaos as the city’s vampires scramble to contain the spread and find a cure.
2017: Start of the Second Inquisition in Indianapolis
2019: Second Inquisition Resurgence – Renewed efforts by the Second Inquisition to target and eradicate supernatural threats result in increased surveillance and crackdowns on Kindred activity in Indianapolis. Raids and arrests disrupt the city’s Kindred society, forcing vampires to adapt and evade detection.
2019: Sabbat Invades Indianapolis and is held off.
2020: Technological Advancements – Breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and surveillance technology pose new challenges for Kindred in Indianapolis, as they must contend with increasingly sophisticated methods of detection and surveillance by mortal authorities.
2020: The Second Inquisition kills all Sabbat and Anarchs in Central Indiana, unable to find the members of the Camarilla due to the Whispered Vanguard coterie erasing their tracks.
2021: Indianapolis Masquerade Breach – A high-profile breach of the Masquerade occurs in Indianapolis, resulting in widespread public awareness of supernatural phenomena. The incident forces Kindred to enact damage control measures and reinforce the veil of secrecy, while dealing with the fallout of exposed secrets and vulnerabilities.
2022: Alliance Against the Inquisition – Faced with escalating threats from the Second Inquisition, Kindred factions in Indianapolis set aside their differences and forge a historic alliance. Led by the enigmatic Whispered Vanguard, representatives from the Camarilla, Anarchs, and Independents unite to strategize and coordinate their efforts against the common enemy. The alliance marks a pivotal moment in Indianapolis’ supernatural history as old rivalries are set aside in the face of a greater threat.
2023: Turning the Tide – The alliance’s coordinated efforts bear fruit as they launch a decisive strike against the Second Inquisition’s stronghold in Central Indiana. Through strategic planning and precise execution, the Kindred forces, bolstered by the Whispered Vanguard’s guidance, successfully repel the Inquisition from Indianapolis. However, unbeknownst to the Inquisition, they believe they have achieved their objectives and turn their attention towards other cities, leaving Indianapolis relatively unscathed. The city’s Kindred breathe a collective sigh of relief as they emerge victorious, albeit cautiously aware that the Inquisition’s threat still looms on the horizon.
2023: Camarilla Kindred have started to come out again, under disguise, to rule the mortals.
